How Kingston Oak Started
Kingston Oak is made out of a dedicated soap shop built into a garage in Kingston, Ohio—laid out by hand, section by section, around a production counter, curing racks, and a packing table. There was no outside investment and no corporate backing. It is a business built in the hours before and after a full-time job, the same way a lot of our customers spend their own evenings and weekends: getting real work done.
Who We Make Soap For
Kingston Oak is made for people who work for a living—mechanics, tradespeople, farmers, warehouse crews, healthcare workers, and anyone who comes home with the day still on their hands. Not corporate suits, not a luxury bathroom shelf, not somebody's skincare routine for the camera. Just a dependable bar of soap made by someone who understands the schedule.
What "Built After Hours" Actually Means
- Real ingredients. Cold-process, beef tallow bar soap made the traditional way, without cutting corners to hit a lower price point.
- Real labor. Every batch is made, cut, and cured by hand in the same shop where it started.
- No shortcuts. If a claim is not something we can stand behind, we do not make it. That is true of a soap label, and it is true of how we talk about the company.
