Deodorant vs. Antiperspirant: What’s the Difference?
Deodorant and antiperspirant are often sold side by side, but they do different jobs.
Deodorant controls odor
Deodorant is made to help manage underarm odor. It does not need to stop sweat to do that.
Field Issue Deodorant falls in this category. Its job is odor control.
Antiperspirant reduces sweat
Antiperspirant uses aluminum salts to temporarily reduce the amount of sweat reaching the skin.
That can be useful for someone whose main goal is staying as dry as possible.
Which one should you choose?
Choose based on the job you need done.
- Want odor control while still sweating normally? Choose deodorant.
- Want to reduce wetness? Choose antiperspirant.
Neither answer needs a lecture. They are different tools.
What to expect from Field Issue
Field Issue is not designed to block sweat. You may still feel moisture during heat, work, training, or a long day. The goal is to keep odor under control without requiring a thick layer of product.
Use it on clean, dry skin and apply only what you need.
