How to Apply Field Issue Deodorant
Field Issue works best when it is applied like a tool, not piled on like frosting.
Start with clean, dry underarms
Water changes how a deodorant stick spreads. After a shower, dry your underarms completely before applying.
Applying over sweat, damp skin, or yesterday’s buildup can make the stick feel wetter and can reduce how evenly it performs.
Use a light, even layer
A few passes are enough. More product does not automatically mean more odor control.
Heavy application can leave extra product sitting on the skin, which increases the chance of transfer onto clothing.
Give it a minute
After applying, let it settle briefly before pulling on a shirt. That small pause helps reduce residue and gives the formula time to spread evenly.
Reapply when the day calls for it
Heat, hard work, long shifts, and individual body chemistry all matter. Some days may require another light application.
When reapplying, wiping the underarm clean first usually works better than adding layer after layer.
Keep the stick out of excessive heat
Field Issue is a solid stick, but any wax-and-oil formula can soften in a hot truck, direct sun, or other high-heat environment. Store it somewhere reasonably cool when possible.
The basic routine
- Clean skin.
- Dry completely.
- Apply a few even passes.
- Let it settle.
- Get back after it.
